It's Coming Home!

When the lights went out in March 2020, and The Gauntlet was forced to close it's doors to KCC - and everyone else - I made a vow that our club nights would resume.

Well, it took a bit longer than I expected, but after what seems like an interminable delay, KCC weekly social club nights will resume at The Gauntlet from Thursday, July 29th (7.30pm onwards). And every Thursday thereafter "to the last syllable of recorded time."

You've got to hand it to him, that Shakespeare bloke had a phrase for every occasion, didn't he?!

So here's to a return to the good old days. I can hardly wait for the sound of Roy's quickly strangled expletive as he puts his first piece en prise! It'll be just like hearing the first cuckoo of spring. And we'll all know that chess has - at last - really come home!
